Water People

Curated by Maria Ellers, this show aligns with Victor Harbor’s Whale Festival and explores humanity’s deep connection to water. Featuring works by Gerry Wedd (ceramics), Rita Kluge (ocean photography), Mark Callaghan (abstract reef-inspired art), David Cocks, John Ogden, Tim Bonython (surf photography), Amanda Westley (Saltwater Dreamtime), and Mark Rhodes, the show celebrates cultural heritage, sustainability, and the spiritual significance of oceans and waterways. Visitors will encounter ceramics, photography, and mixed media that evoke the beauty and fragility of aquatic environments. The exhibition showcases works inspired by oceans, rivers, and aquatic life, highlighting themes of sustainability, cultural heritage, and the spiritual significance of water across communities.
