The Coral Street Art Space is available for hire for events, meetings, classes and workshops!

As the Coral Street Art Space is a project of the City of Victor Harbor, council administration manages the building and the activity that is conducted within the space. The program of Coral Street Art Space is coordinated by the Arts and Cultural Facilitator in consultation with the City of Victor Harbor Arts and Culture Advisory Group. This includes council facilitated exhibitions, programs, workshops and events along with selected offerings from external groups and hirers. All requests for hire of the Coral Street Art Space will be reviewed with consideration given to the purpose and vision for the Coral Street Art Space, the available dates and the space’s programming requirements. Requests to hire the space for private parties, or activity that is not directly related to arts and/or cultural activity, will not be accepted.

Facilities include: 

  • 5 movable white wall plinths and a selection of half a dozen different size white plinths;

  • 5 trestle tables

  • 30 conference chairs

  • 3 bar tables and stools

  • basic kitchen facilities

  • digital projector with drop down screen

  • mobile projector

  • 55" TV screen

  • WI-FI

The Coral Street Art Space is not serviced by in-house toilets. Public toilets are located just next door and are opened daily by Council contractors and secured by Great Southern Security (0407 717 324). These facilities are for the general public. If additional or specialised cleaning is required this can be pre-arranged at the Hirer’s cost through the Council.

Access for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility is available via the front door. An accessible toilet is available in the public facility adjoining the building. In considering placement of seating, hirers are encouraged to consider the needs of any disabled, hearing or vision impaired person by locating them appropriately within the space.

The Kitchen has a fridge, dishwasher, kettle and an urn. There is no provision for linen, cutlery or glassware etc. All requirements are to be supplied by the Hirer such as; cleaning materials and products, bin liners etc. Any electrical items brought into the Space must comply with current tag and testing requirements.

The Hirer must not sell or allow the consumption of liquor in the Coral Street Art Space without a relevant Liquor Licence and other than in accordance with the conditions of such Licence.
